My Story – Dr. Angela Tharnish
Dr. Tharnish discusses what made her become a chiropractor.
Meet the Team
Dr. Angela Tharnish
Dr. Tharnish graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida in 2006. Prior to studying chiropractic, she attended Metropolitan State College in Denver, CO, where she majored in Human Performance and Sport, with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. Dr. Tharnish has had rewarding practice experiences treating infants to the elderly. She focuses on active rehabilitation and exercises with her patients. She has completed comprehensive training from the Spine Research Institute of San Diego in whiplash and brain injury traumatology. This training allows her to provide top-notch care for patients after an auto accident.
She is thrilled to have been serving the North Charleston community for 15 years.
Dr. Tara Johnson
Dr. Tara Johnson is a native of Charleston, SC. She graduated from West Ashley High School and went on to attend Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Johnson graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following her undergraduate studies, she moved back to Charleston and later decided to pursue a graduate degree. Dr. Johnson received her Master’s degree in Sports Science with a concentration in Health and Exercise Science from The Citadel Military College. Dr. Johnson earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, GA, one of the largest chiropractic colleges in the US. While attending Life University; she was involved in several extracurricular activities, including serving as the Eastern Regional Representative for the Student American Black Chiropractic Association (SABCA), as well as serving in the vice president role. She was a member of the Sports Chiropractic Club. Dr. Johnson is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Dr. Johnson remembers being a young girl fascinated by human anatomy and the body’s ability to heal itself. Now she is fortunate enough to help patients daily with treatment plans to improve their overall health. Dr. Johnson was first introduced to chiropractic after being in a car accident. While under care, she fell in love with the unlimited possibilities of healing through a holistic approach. Now, years later, she can practice and implement those same approaches on her patients. Dr. Johnson is an ambitious, goal-driven chiropractor committed to patient care, wellness and improving quality of life, and she is very enthusiastic and motivated to learn, grow and excel in chiropractic care.
